This is all about unapologetic black beauty in all of its shapes and forms.

"We want all beauty to be welcome in all places and institutions. Narrow beauty standards make it difficult for Black women and girls in particular to freely celebrate their own beauty. While all women experience pressure to conform to certain standards of appearance, society’s bias has resulted in unfair judgment and discrimination against Black women based on hair texture and protective hairstyles, including braids, locs, and twists, that are inherent to their race." - Dove and The Crown Act

And as believers in the Crown Act, this is our way of hoping Indiana will pass legislation to approve The Crown Act right here in the Hoosier State.
